Is School Really That Bad?

(In the tone of David Foster Wallace)

People who are not yet in high school or those who have been here a really long time ago do not know what it's like. By way of example, let's say it's an average weekday, and you get up early in the morning, go to your bus stop, wait for the bus for a good ten minutes, even when it's freezing outside, and the bus driver finally shows up, and then you wait in the bus for another twenty minutes to get to school, and after you've finally arrived, you walk through the never-ending hallway to get to your class and realize that you're late, and you get a tardy. It's 7: 20 in the morning, and you feel like you're about to fall asleep, but the teacher keeps going on and on about the big test you're about to take in a few minutes, so you at least try to listen to her; After taking the painfully long test, which you're sure you did bad on, you have to get to your second hour, and the hallways are even more crowded than usual, so it takes you extra long to get to class. After two more excruciating hours, you are finally happy that you get to eat lunch with your friends without anyone telling you what to do, but you realize you have to wait fifteen minutes in the lunch line just to buy lunch; even though you're very frustrated and annoyed, you can't take your fury out on someone else. Anyway, it's finally 2: 10, and you get very excited by the fact that you're going home, but you are reminded that you have two tests and lots of homework due tomorrow, and then your mood instantly changes, et cetera, et cetera.
